The Schedule for Dec. 2012 and Jan. 2013

With the holiday season, there will be some changes in Birdie Brown's schedule for Dec. 2012 and Jan. 2013.

If you have been following this blog for a long time, you may have noticed that Birdie Brown is getting popular this year. Actually, the number of orders I receive every month has doubled in the past half year. I'm so delighted with it, and I am so thankful for your warm words and positive feedback about my digital stamps.
On the other hand, it is the fact that this has made my life busy. Well... let me be honest, I'm a bit tired. So, I decided to take a break so that I can spend much time with my family this holiday season.
I'm sorry for the inconvenience. But I hope you understand me.


Here is the schedule for December 2012 and January 2013 at Birdie Brown.

Dec. 1st, 2012

• The winner of November Freebie Challenge will be announced.
• There will be NO freebie and NO challenge.

Dec. 3rd to 5th, 2012

• I will have a holiday sale!!! The sale details will be announced on this blog and my FB page on Monday, December 3rd. 
• After the sale, some of digital stamps in my shop are going to be retired. I will put a list of items that are going to be retired on this blog as well.

December 15th, 2012

• I'm sorry... but, NO release this month.

From Dec. 15th, 2012 to Jan. 6th, 2013

• Birdie Brown is on vacation. I won't reply Etsy conversations and emails during the vacation. 

January 7th, 2013

• A new freebie will be posted, and of course, a new challenge starts!!

January 15th, 2013

• The Release day!!;)

Happy Holidays!

I created a holiday card using a Winter girl & puppy image.

I colored the image with Copics and cut it out. Then I combined it with a die cut wreath and a sentiment from Snowy Days set (TSG). The patterned paper is from Simple Stories, and the little house button is from My Mind's Eye.

November Release - Sample Cards

I added three new digital stamps to my shop yesterday. Today, I'd like to share my sample cards for them.

JOY

It was sad that my hubby said the "J" looked like a jelly beans... No, it is a sock!! LOL!
I colored the image with Copic Markers, then did fussy cutting. The background paper is from Aspen Frost paper pad (Basic Grey). For the scalloped part, I used a polka dot background stamp from Hero Arts. To finish off the card, I added some gingham ribbon (stash) and a button.

Snowman Mug

Well... I love this image, of course. But I wonder if I can drink something comfortably with this mug. The holly is obstructive, isn't it? LOL.
The sentiment was from Hero Arts and the hearts are from Perk Up! set by TSG. They were stamped with Versa Mark ink and heat embossed with white embossing powder.

Christmas Elf

This is my most favorite of this month's release!!:)

I confess that it took me over one hour to color this image up!! But I'm so pleased with how it turned out. As you can see on the second photo, I added some glitter to the ground and ornaments. To make a snowing scene, I used liquid pearl. I combined the image panel with some beautiful papers from Aspen Frost paper pad (Basic Grey), did machine stitching, and added bakers twine and buttons. The sentiment is from Waltzingmouse Stamps.

My Cards using November Freebies

Today I'm sharing my sample cards for this month's freebies.
The first one was used Just For You.

I colored the image and the background with Copics, and sponged around the edges of the focal panel with Midnight ink (Versa Craft) and Old Paper ink (Distress Ink). Then I added some snowflakes with a white gel pen.
The sentiment is from Buckets Of Love - Holiday Additions (TSG). It was stamped with Versa Mark ink and heat embossed with white embossing powder.

Next one is for Snowy Day.

I kept the layout simple. However I dressed it up with a row of buttons, the folded banner, some diamond stickles (see the close up photo) and the decorative edges.
The sentiment is from Snowy Days (TSG).
